Polyester POY Bright Yarn is made when Partially Oriented Yarn (POY) is simultaneously twisted and drawn. This process disperses, curls and entangles the filaments that make up the POY yarn giving it a fluffy appearance and allowing it to possess the properties of both natural and synthetic fiber. This type of yarn is used in weaving and knitting fabrics for making clothes, home furnishings, seat covers, bags, high-end apparel, sports shoes, clothing accessories etc.

Moreover, this type of yarn is also a raw material for the manufacture of other types of yarns such as Drawn Texturised Yarn (DTY). This type of yarn is made by texturing partially oriented yarn through the process of texturising. This process introduces durable crimps, twists, interlaces and loops into the yarn through texturizing machines. The textured yarn is then blown into the form of a continuous filament and wound onto bobbins for further use.

This kind of polyester yarn is available in different lusters such as Semi Dull (SD) and Triloble Bright (TBR) depending upon the type of sections of the filaments. It can be dyed using Dope Dye technology or by soaking in color master-batch. The advantage of using Dope Dyed POY is that it saves time and cost because the yarn gets colored from the inside instead of making the fabric with raw white first & then dyeing it.
