The polyester textured yarn is one of the most popular textile materials in the global market today. It is used in many applications as well as in apparel. In fact, it is the most affordable and recyclable fiber in the industry.
Polyester is a polymer of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) and MEG. In this fiber, filaments are twisted and drawn to develop a texture. Texture imparts certain special properties to the fiber and improves its softness, tenacity, strength, and covering capacity.
There are two types of textured yarn: Drawn Textured Yarn and Air Textured Yarn. Both are manufactured by texturising machines. These yarns are used for a variety of purposes and are available in various thicknesses and deniers.
Drawn Textured Yarn is produced on the latest high-speed draw texturising machines. It is suitable for outer and inner garments. Several applications of the textured yarn have been identified, such as sports wear, casual jackets, and decorative fabrics.
Among other applications, polyester textured yarn is also employed for stabilization of riverside. This fabric can be coated with low wick yarns and neoprene. Other applications of the textured yarn include sedimentation adjustment, stabilization of the roadbed, and stabilization of the environment.
Semi dull polyester textured yarn is made by twisting and drawing partially oriented yarns. The resulting yarn is often smooth and abrasion-resistant. However, it has a lower luster and lower tenacity.
Full dull polyester textured yarn has a low luster, a good pendent, and high tenacity. This yarn has a large application in home textiles.
Polyester and spandex fabric is a stretch fabric made of polyester with spandex by great circle machine. Its features include strong and durable, wrinkle resistant and ironing free, good shape retention, high strength and good elastic resilience. This blended single jersey is widely used in our daily life. Indeed, 35 to 40 percent of fabrics in the current clothing market contain elastic fibers.
