俄语Polyester Draw Textured Yarn (DTY) is a type of polyester filament yarn. It is mainly used in weaving and knitting fabrics. However, it can also be used in non-apparel applications. This yarn can be molded and twisted in different ways, and it can be produced in a variety of colors. It is also able to achieve high twists. The yarn has a smooth and glossy appearance that makes it perfect for various uses.
DTY is manufactured by processing Polyolefin (POY) yarn through a texturing process. This technique entangles and disperses the fibers in the POY yarn, giving it the luster and fluffiness that is characteristic of natural and synthetic fibers. Once the fibers are entangled, they are then processed through a number of processes to produce durable loops, crimps, and interlaces.
DTY is commonly used in apparel applications, and it is often found in high-end sportswear and home furnishings. In fact, it can be made into a wide range of deniers and lustres, and is available in bright, semi-dull, and flat. For example, a polyester DTY yarn can be made into a Trilobal Bright (TBR) or a Super Bright Luster (SBL).
Depending on the end application, the fabric can be either woven or knitted. These yarns are characterized by their ability to resist chemical degradation and withstand very hot environments. They are also known for their high tenacity and durability, and can be used to create fabrics with a high luster. A Polyester DTY can be purchased in more than 200 colors, and it is available in stock.
Although, a polyester DTY can be twisted to a very high twist, it can also be textured in different ways. For example, the DTY can be heat-set or it can be produced with various combinations of Intermingle points. Additionally, it can be made into a non-Intermingle yarn (NIM), which has a lower density of knots.
DTY can also be manufactured using Catonic PET chips. These are polyester granulated particles that are supplied to the yarn-producing industry in semi-dull. When they are woven, they produce a lustrous, bright fabric. Moreover, these yarns have many advantages, including a higher bulk, lower moisture content, and greater stretch.
In addition, polyester DTY yarn has been processed to add durable crimps, loops, and interlaces to its structure. Therefore, it is suitable for outer/inner garments. Furthermore, it is also ideal for upholstery and skin-cling garments.
